LVDTs to work in special applications or to solve unusual problems. We have a library of over 500 custom designed products and are continuously adding to it.

Thus, we can offer products that will operate in extreme environments such as high ambient or operating temperatures, typically up to 525 °F or more, mild nuclear radiation (manufactured without teflon based materials), submersion in water or other liquids, and hazardous or explosive locations. Other physical variations we can make include units with custom ranges and shorter overall lengths, units with special flanges or mounting feet, units having larger than usual core-to-bore clearance, units, either pressure sealed or vented, for operation in pressurized fluids, extra heavy duty units for mill environments, and units constructed of materials resistant to corrosion from sea water or harsh chemicals.

Other custom features we can offer include special ranges and specifications, improved linearity, LVDTs with matched scale factor or sensitivity for differential measurements, special connectors, cables, or other terminations, and private labeled units for OEMs. We can also provide alternative inputs and outputs for DC operated LVDTs, including single-ended voltage outputs and two-wire loop-powered 4-20 mA current transmitters.

Similar alternative I/Os can be offered in Macro Sensors' signal conditioning electronics for AC operated LVDTs, and we can often offer custom electronic features required for a specific application cost effectively. We can also do special packaging for unusual environments and private labeled custom LVDT electronics for OEM customers.
