LVDT Products for Automation Applications
Below are LVDT products that are typically used in Automation Applications.
Spring-Loaded LVDTs are best suited, since the core and coil are assembled into a spring-loaded assembly. This makes the mechanical setup of the sensor into automated machinery less complicated and more cost effective.
When space is tight or the automated machinery configuration does not allow for Spring-loaded LVDTs the free core LVDT is to be considered. The hermetically sealed units are one of the more popular configurations used because of their construction and and connector configuration.

The
Macro Sensors GHSA 750 Series
of 3/4 inch diameter Spring-Loaded AC-LVDTs are designed for a
wide range of position measurement and dimensional gaging applications.
These rugged hermetically sealed sensors are constructed entirely of stainless
steel and intended for general industrial use. The coil windings are sealed
against hostile environments to IEC standard IP-68. Electrical termination
is through a sealed axial connector; the mating connector plug is supplied
with a unit. [read

These rugged hermetically sealed sensors are constructed entirely of stainless
steel and intended for general industrial use. The coil windings are sealed
against hostile environments to IEC standard IP-68. Electrical termination
is through a radially mounted sealed connector, which results in a much
reduced installed length. The mating connector plug is supplied with a
unit. The through-bore design allows for air purging of the sensors
bearings to remove potential contaminants. [read

The
GSA 750 Series of short range
Spring-Loaded LVDT position sensors were developed for cost sensitive
applications requiring LVDT reliability and performance. Available in
ranges of ±0.10 inches to ±0.30 inches, these sensors offer
the excellent measurement capabilities of an LVDT at very economical prices.
This makes GSA 750 series LVDTs especially attractive for student projects,
low over-head machine and fabrication shops, and R & D laboratories
on a limited budget. [read

The
GHSIR Series of Spring-Loaded
DC-Operated LVDTs offer all of the advantages of the GHSD 750 series
with the added benefit of 2-wire, loop-powered 4-20 mA operation and a
radial connector that pemits a much shorter installed length. The coil
and electronics are hermetically sealed against hostile environments.

The
Macro Sensors BBP
family of 8 mm diameter pencil-type gaging probes offers ultra-precise
measurement of dimensions in a wide variety of Q.C., SPC, and industrial
metrology applications. They utilize a linear ball bearing assembly precisely
fitted to a hardened-and-ground, non-rotating probe shaft to minimize
radial play and the effects of side loading. This results in the probes'
exceptional repeatability of 0.000006 inch (0.15 µm). [read
